Meet Arm Candy Palace

Meet the Oh so Fabulous...
"Arm Candy Palace"
instagram: @armcandypalace
At the end of last week I was oh so lucky enough to receive a package from the "Arm Candy Palace" There are so many things I want to say, which is a GOOD THING so let me start by telling you this...from the moment the owner contacted me until the time the package hit my door step (which was very quick) I was impressed! This is definitely a business I will support! As you can see the packaging was stellar and the shipping turn around time was lighting fast! I think I got it in 2 days, I mean literally it came so quick I wasn't even expecting it!

That was just the start. I went and browsed the company website and loved it! It appears to still be under minor construction but you are still able to shop and for a site that is still "building" it is very intriguing and professional! The marketing behind this company is great! Everything just seems to "flow" and "fit" together. They have a well thought out marketing strategy and they are ready for the big leagues!
The instagram page is equally as brilliant and "put together".  It features videos of the pieces and music to compliment each look.

I was very pleased with their level of customer service. I was very pleased with the thought that was put into packaging, it showed that they really care about their business and how it is perceived by customers. I was pleased with the gift certificate that was sent to me as well as the grand finale: the GORGEOUS jewelry. My personal fashion sense is leaning more into "African" inspired looks and the cognac-colored necklace pictured above will most definitely compliment my style.

Thank you for such a Wonderful shopping experience Arm Candy Palace...next up you will see me sporting my Arm Candy Looks!
Stay tuned!!!

Top 5 Must-Haves for Fall Fashion

FALL 2013

The weather is breaking and in comes the Fall! Fall is one of my favorite times of year because the fashion is simply FABULOUS!!! Check out these 5 "Must-Haves" for the 2013 Fall Fashion Season!

One | Cobalt Blue Heels
Cobalt is a sexy bold color! Grab a pair of semi pointy Cobalt blue heels for work this Fall! You will be surprised at how many colors cobalt will compliment and it's sure to add that extra POP of color to some of your "dull" work looks.

Two | A bright Bag
Bright satchels are SUPER fierce and will add lots of personality to any solid color outfit! Go for the neons but be sure the actual 'design' of the bag is simple!

Three | Bright Bottoms
More personality! You can still look professional in a pair of bright trousers! Simply compliment them with a solid color blazer and strut your stuff honey!

Four | Phillip Lim by Target
Target has some fun and trendy fashion ladies! Check out Phillip Lim's line and just about all of his pieces can easily be dressed up for work! Jessica Alba deserves two thumbs up for this look that was featured in Vogue!

Five | Crop Pants & Heels
How appropriate and STUNNING is some crop pants and heels for the Fall! This should be your professional "go-to" style for work and any other occasion this season! You can't go wrong!

Handmade Earrings

By RoyalBeautyV
BeautyIntoxicated.com ©
April 7, 2013

Yesterday I had the pleasure in hosting a children's fashion show in Virginia Beach, VA for J'adores Closet and I had such a great time. In the process of getting dressed and ready for the event I got the urge for something "new". I wanted to accessorize perfectly but I didn't want my jewelry of choice weighing me down. For some reason I have been more into jewelry that is lightweight lately, I guess I just don't want to 'feel' my jewelry on me but I do want some jewelry on…weird right? *shrugs*

Anywho, I couldn't narrow down the perfect earring for this beautiful satin Japanese inspired shirt that I had brought to wear so I instantly came up with this bright idea to make me a pair of earrings. Now if you have been keeping up with my articles you know that I just moved into a new place. You know how it is when you move your things around and you start magically coming across things that you forgot you had, things you stored away and never went back for and purchases that seemed to have gotten lost in the shuffle? Well, that's what I have been going through lol and I love it! It's like treasure hunting in my own damn house lol. I remember about 2 years ago I went to Michaels and brought a few pairs of DIY (do-it-yourself) bracelets, at the time of purchase the creative side of me kicked in and I felt like those cute bracelets would make even better earrings so I stored them away when I got home so that I could do just that at a later time. 2years later, that "later" time finally came lol and it was well worth the totally un-called for wait.

I love these earrings I made! I simply took the bracelet and added a hook to it for my pierced ears:) Waaa-laaahhh handmade earrings!

Vintage

Good fun Fashion will always come back around and repeat itself. If it was hot back in the day chances are, it's hot now. I really don't care about what's considered "hot" because I prefer my OWN lane but it is fun to see vintage pieces return.

I always say... "YOU wear the clothes, don't let the clothes wear you".
That simply means that you are and should always be the centerpiece. What you are wearing should never overpower 'who' you are.

The RoyalBeauty Look of the Day is an Elegant Peach Vintage shirt that I found while thrifting. Thrifting is a sport to me, I get a kick out of finding fashionable deals and I absolutely love stumbling across timeless pieces such as this vintage shirt that was in "like-new" mint condition. I purchased this shirt for less than $5.

To accent the shirt I added a bronze metal belt from Urban Outfitters priced at $40.00 The belt was most certainly a fashion investment because $40.00 is a little steep for a belt lol but it's a piece that will compliment so many other items in my wardrobe. To complete this Monday Look I threw on a pair of dark denim skinny jeans and 6inch Nude sling backs. Nude is the new Black so you can never go wrong with that!!

Hope you Like my Look of the Day!!

Put your Freakum Dress On!

More often than not you have to put everything in your life on a brief hold and get dolled up for a night to enjoy yourself. You have to make "having a good time" a prerequisite in your life. Schedule a girls-night out a few times a month with your friends. Plan in advance so that the night flows at ease and with minimum stress.

Anytime that you plan to step out for a night on the town, began to orchestrate your "look" days in advance. Everything from apparel, accessories, shoes, hair, nails, toes and even finances should be thought out at least 4-5 days before your evening of fun. There is nothing worse that getting ready on the night of, and all of a sudden you can find a damn thing that you had on your mind. Like "Ughhhhhh wear are my fishnet stockings?" or "Ughhhhhh I can't find my metallic clutch!" That makes me so mad. Plan in advance to avoid being frustrated.

Grab your best Freakum Dress and heels and leave everything that doesn't involve "Fun", at home. Now a word to the wise: "Girls Nights" has to been done in moderation because if you get too carried away and began to neglect other areas of your life then those areas will begin to suffer. I had to learn that the hard way.

All in all, there's nothing wrong with having a good time, just plan accordingly.

Celebrity Hair

Hair makes the Difference!!

It's amazing how hair and makeup can take a Plain Jane from forgettable and boring to star studded and stunning!
Your hair is one of the first things people notice about you. This is my current style and I'm so in love with it. My natural hair color is jet black, yes honey JET BLACK. The added virgin Brazilian inches sewn-in gives me an exotic look. Or maybe it's the Apache in me I don't know lol, whatever it is I'm OWNING it and beauties all around me want in! Everywhere I go people ask me who does my hair, or what kind of hair is this. Welp there you have it, it's 22inches of jet black Virgin Brazilian and it is not sold in stores.
Hair is an investment and I need hair that is going to be done with little maintenance daily. This Brazilian hair is soft and lasts me about 3 months. From the day it's installed until the day I remove it, the hair maintains it's lusture and tangle-free softness AND the hair is completely re-useable. You can get about 2-3 installs out of Brazilian hair.

Brazilian Hair Facts

Official Brazilian hair should be guaranteed 100% human with NO synthetic fibers. There is nothing more disappointing than finding a few strands of synthetic fibers in high priced hair. Oh Hellllll no!!!
Brazilian hair is 'virgin' meaning it has been collected from a donor. With that said you have to be conscience of the wave patterns being slightly different each time. The care that was given to the hair when it was first collected from the donor is very important so purchasing from a reputable site/company is the best way to ensure you are getting healthy and gorgeous hair.
Virgin Hair Cuticles should be layered to face the same direction from root to end at the time of wefting which helps prevent tangling. Weft extensions offer versatility in styling.
You will need about 8oz (2bundles/packs) for styles up to 16 inches in length and 12oz (3bundles/packs) for styles up to 24inches. The longer the hair the more bundles you will need to purchase.

Store Brand Hair Facts

Most human hair sold at your local beauty supply and hair stores have undergone a cuticle-stripping process. This process of removing the cuticle layor is done using harsh acidic chemicals that leave the hair dry and lifeless with strands that do not look or feel natural. Next a weight-less silicone based product is placed over the stripped cuticles to give the hair a processed shine and smooth appearance. Please believe that this is just an "appearance" because as soon as the silicone wears off your processed hair will become dull, nappy, mated and will easily tangle. Please stay away from the cheap stuff ladies. You get what you pay for!

Royal Beauty Recommendations

Anyone can obtain beautiful Celebrity Hair! You have to be willing to depart with a few extra coins and invest. In the long run you will see that your investment will turn into huge savings because good quality hair is reusable and stays beautiful 10X times longer.
Sites I recommend are:
Kaizenvirginhair.bigcartel.com (Reputable Virginia, USA vendor operated out of Hampton, VA)
and
belladreamhair.com (Reputable African-American Owned International vendor)

Summer Shoe Game

Goodbye winter/fall shoe collection, HELLOOOO Spring/Summer shoe game!

Today I boxed up all my last season shoes and put all my spring/summer shoes on display in my walk-in. Soon as I did that I noticed that I have an serious addiction to nudes and blacks. It's ok with me though because none of them are plain, they all have a uniqueness to them. I treat my shoes like my babies lol, I just LOVE them.

It's no way I can put all my shoes in 1,2 or even 3 pictures...I have more than I need actually. Every year I give most of them away and start fresh. I even sell the ones I never wear or the gently used ones on ebay and through my youtube auctions.

I'm happy spring is here because open toe shoes are so sexy to me and I love showing my french pedicure. I got some cute little toes lol.

4.24.2012

Which do you Prefer…Straight or Curly?

I haven't had the urge to wear my hair straight in more than a year, probably longer.

Loose waves, deep waves, ripple deep, and brazilian curls have been my styles of choice for a while now. Straight hair can get boring really quick. Which do you prefer?

This is my current style, I went blonde with a dark brown undertone for my bday and less than 2weeks later, I'm over it LOL! I love the color but I need my waves back. Wavy/curly hair is just easier to maintain to me. I need hair that has little to no maintenance. I wanna throw my silk bonnet on at night, go to sleep and wake up with a beautiful style and that's the satisfaction that wavy hair gives me. With this straight look, I have to wrap it, watch how the wind blows it, constantly be conscience of strands being out of place and etc. Ugghhhh! Im over it!!! Not to mention that it sheds too much to.

I'm going to keep the summer highlighted colors but chile back to curly I go!

NEW FASHION TREND!

You would be surprised how you'd feel if you switched up your Style! Doing different things with the way you normally dress is a great way to make you feel "NEW".

~bold blue with a bright pink.
~coral orange w/ a grey and paint your nails a neon yellow!
Try these combinations Divas and you will be a color blocking Runway SuperModel!

CLEAN Makeup Brushes is a MUST!

If you're a dainty lady that loves to dabble in cosmetics then one of the most important things you should know is how critical it is to keep your brushes clean!!! Can you hear me screaming this……CLEAN YOUR BRUSHES!!!!

This is something that I really can't stress enough because through experience I've learned what being lazy and neglecting to clean your brushes can do to the skin. What difference does it make? Dirty, clean….its just a brush right? WRONG!!

When you are applying makeup not only are you adding color but you are also removing natural oils that are on your skins's surface and in turn microscopic pieces of dead skin cells also begin to collect on your brushes. Bacteria can and will build up on your brushes and cause nasty skin problems, acne, infection and etc because of dirt. Bacteria is a living organism that grows and spreads, it's totally disgusting so do yourself a huge favor and keep it out of your beauty kit!

If you are using these same brushes daily then you are applying oil, dirt and bacteria right back into your skin's open pores. This is fast recipe for disaster. You should be cleaning your brushes at least once a week and trust me, your face will thank you for it. To clean them you can use your regular hair shampoo or if you have very expensive brushes that are made of goat hair then use a mild baby shampoo, rinse with warm water and let them air dry.

If you want to be real fancy then go buy you some cleaning solution and have a ball but ladies the common goal is beautiful makeup on a clean and smooth face and this can only be done with CLEAN BRUSHES!!

Fashion Sundays with Vee!! "ShoeGasm"

It's that time again!! Fashion Sundays with Royal Beauty Vee!
Today's focus for you beautiful fashionistas is SHOES!!

Shoes are the way to every woman's heart aren't they! Ok well maybe I'm speaking for myself lol. It's no secret how much I ADORE a mean shoe so today I wanna discuss what's HOTTTT in shoe fashion.

These shoes are from Nicholas Kirkwood. He is a young designer born in 1980 in Germany when his father who was in the US Army was stationed there. So born in Germany but I consider him American *shrugs*. Any who, his shoe creations are second to none. NOBODY is seeing this man in the shoe industry in my opinion and when I say that I mean...there is zero competition. That's a bold statement right! Welp, I just call it like I see it! The shoes above (worn by Sarah Jessica Parker) have a tasteful splash of neon peeking out of the design to give it that stand-alone appeal that puts Nicholas in a class all his own! Do yourself a favor and copy and paste the link below to see his entire Spring 2012 collection!

http://www.nicholaskirkwood.com/index.php?section=collection&season=ss12

Next up is the Neon Suede shoe craze!

First of all, I've ALWAYS been a devout fan of suede shoes! Add a LOUD color to a suede shoe and what you get is a masterpiece! Every shoe designer and every shoe store is catering to this craze!! All sorts of heels sizes, wedges and even flats are populating the shoe land in Neon colors. When wearing a shoe this colorful your outfit can not be the focal point. Busy prints or "too much" going on will destroy the attention of the shoe. With neon shoes....your shoe is your accessory so stay subtle with everything else. They say "history repeats itself", I can definitely cosign to that. Neons are so 70's but I'm not even mad because they are so FIERCE!!

Shoe designer Gabrielle Marina Gonzalez is unearthly with her shoes! Her wedges are made for a real fashion Goddess!

You can catch Lady GaGa often sporting these sky high wedges and LAWDDDDDDD let me tell you, you BETTA have talent to walk in these!! I am praying for your ankles as we speak!!! Oh and HELL YES I would wear these!! SICK ain't even the word to describe how awesome these shoes are!! Bow down to the Queen! This is one hell of a shoe statement, the kind that will have you gasping for air! Werkkk it!!!

Ok now it's time for the Grand Finale!
Does this image look familiar? These shoes are by shoe designer Gareth Pugh worn by Beyonce in her "Who Run the World" video! GOD AL MIGHTY is my reaction when looking at these killer shoes!!

I died, went to Heaven, died again and was resurrected by the shoe God herself when I first laid eyes on these!! My heart started pounding and I damn near blacked out! What in the world can really compare to these?!! What really floored me was how she rocked these bad babies with that sequined dress because it's just my style!! I would rock fire from this look!

These shoes are literally screaming...MOVE DA HELL OVA BECAUSE "MAWU" THEE AFRICAN SUPREME GODDESS AND CREATOR OF ALL THINGS is coming through!!!!!
Lawd have Mercy!! It's Fashion Sunday's with Vee!! Hope you had a Powerful ShoeGasm!! I know I did!

1.08.2012

Sexy Sundays! What are you Wearing?

I'm a Fashion Whore!!! Yes I said it! I get off on creative, jaw dropping, eye catching, BOLD Fashion Statements! I've been into fashion since I was in the 4th grade and even studied fashion for 2years in high school. It's been a life long research project every since. I just can't get enough.

ok Ladies today I'm going to take you into a full "Head-to-Toe" MakeOver right from the comfort of your own home!! Take notes and don't be afraid to step outside your box:) I always recommend finding a celeb that best mimics your style and get your fashion inspiration from them. When shopping go for styles on the runways and in fashion magazines.
Ok now it's time for Head. Shoulders. Knees & Toes!

Head
Let's face it when your hair is not done it completely throws off your whole outfit! Your tresses have to polished to perfection FIRST!! I'm a weaveologist! I believe in Extensions ok! Extensions add the extra piece of red carpet star quality that you need. I'm not against natural hair or short hair BUT for me extensions are a quick low maintenance hair option that is sure to stay Fabb longer than other style alternatives. The hands down BEST hair site in the world is www.extensionsdirect.com
They deliver hair that is second to none in the industry and you get what you pay for QUALITY!

Shoulders
I'm in love with Victorian Era inspired Blouses. A blouse is completely different from a shirt ok lol! Victorian Blouses give a beautiful Royal Chic appeal and in my professional opinion it makes you stand out especially if you have the confidence to match. I love solid colors or profound prints. Sometimes floral prints can make you look elderly so try to stay away from that.
This Vintage style streams "Classic & Classy". It's an easy transformation from a daytime or nightlife look, it really can go both ways which is always a plus. Shop for blouses that synch in at the waist because it highlights your natural curves which is OH SO SEXY!!

Knees
Tights and Fashion stocking are so trendy aren't they! I wear them all year long. I have them in all styles, prints and patterns. When wearing lace tights remember that they are pretty much the focal point so don't go too crazy with your tops. I recommend a solid color top with trendy tights. Purchase a few pair of fishnets to. It's something about fishnet tights that seem to turn men on so make sure you have a few pair in your wardrobe ladies. Tights are NOT a workplace professional look so please don't attempt this on the job, you are going to come off wayyyy too sexy and in corporate America that is frowned upon. Most of the times when sporting bare legs a pair of stocking/tights are that extra statement piece that separate you from Basic --> to -->BADD!!

Toes
"The higher the heel the closer to God". Sky high heels are the epitome of shoe fashion! Ankle scraps are whats trending in heels this season. Anything around the ankle adds a touch of personality and a hint of seduction! I have ZERO discipline when it comes to shoes! No price is off limits and "color" is important. A lot of women feel safe in black attire and although I'm a colorful type of person I do understand that desire for "safety" in black. If you are a woman that caters more to black then ALL your shoes should be in color. It's nothing more sexier than a black dress, some lace stockings and a BOLD colored heel!

Alright Divas!! Here's your courtesy "at-home" MakeOver! It's Sexy Sundays!!! What are you Wearing!!

The Couture RunDown! An Overview of 2012 Spring/Summer Designer Collections

Designers are excellent sources for your fashion inspiration. I'm a serious fashionista. I can sit and watch fashion shows all day!! Not just ANY fashion show, OFFICIAL ones! Paris, Milan, Tokyo, L.A., NewYork, Italy, Hong Kong, London and etc.

I been into fashion since I was a young girl. I always felt a special connection to the creativity displayed. Fashion helps me express myself and I love to think outside the box. When I'm reviewing these designer runway collections I'm looking to see are these fashions wearable for the everyday woman. Although many of these garments are NOT affordable for the everyday woman, you can certainly recreate these looks at bargain prices. Once again, these shows are great sources for inspiration.

Inside the world of fashion, designers are always a season ahead of the calendar. Right now the spring/summer collections are being showcased on runways worldwide. I had the online pleasure of viewing the lines of some of your favorite TOP International renowned designers and here is
"The Royal Couture RunDown"

Victoria Beckham
played it safe with her line. When I'm critiquing the collections I'm looking for eye catching pieces that are innovative and that any confident woman can wear. I kinda wanted more from her considering she is a fashion icon but there was nothing worth purchasing from her line.

Versace always gives me Life. Donatella has re-introduced some of his old prints from the 90's with a cutting-edge twist. She didn't get crazy with the colors like sometimes Versace is known for doing and the designs are still EPIC. Let me just say this so ya'll understand how serious it is….Versace Spring 2012 collection is Amazingly AWESOME, it gets a STANDING OVATION from me.

Stella Mccartney's line is very neutral with a few attempts of color here and there. It was pretty much FORGETTABLE!

I LOVE Roberto Cavalli for his blazers! He infamous for Official statement pieces. His spring line is FABB!!

Ralph Lauren dropped the ball in his women's spring 2012 collection. I didn't see anything eye catching. He kept it traditional.

Prada was doing the absolute most! Their line looks like table cloths from the 70's. I really felt as though the designer shopped in the thrift store on this collection lol. The pieces had no life whatsoever.

Mochino's line had a lot of door knocker earrings with a 19th century spaniard bull fighting influence. If that's your taste then you may like it but it really doesn't relate to the masses.

Missoni's spring line is strictly Spanish Gypsy influenced. You will definitely end up looking like you are going to the Brazilian carnival because it's wayyyy to festive.

Michael Kors is still stuck on gladiator sandals…Uggghh that was sooo 2008. I'm not fan because his line looks like it can be sold at Walmart which means that he is completely overrated. His spring line looks like u are dressing for a safari adventure, like something the crocodile hunter and his family would wear. I just don't get the hype.

Ok there is Marc by Marc Jacobs and then you have the regular Marc Jacobs collection. There's a big difference! Marc by Marc Jacobs is very preppy and ivy league and the signature Marc Jacobs line is more couture and FAR outside the box. I prefer Marc by Marc Jacobs because its actually wearable.

Out of the whole spring collection Louis Vuitton had a few wearable pieces and I do mean a FEW! Only about 3 out of 48. That's not acceptable.

With a brand like Jean Paul Gaultier you really shouldn't have to try hard but sadly he FAILED his spring line and I'm a little shocked. His fabric combinations are completely wrong and frustrating for such a notable brand.

Now Hermes FALL collection was said to be "misguided" lol but y'all kno Christophe Lemaire runs it now and sadly his Spring line really didn't redeem the collection.

GUCCI 2012 Spring collection was a waste of my eye sight. Very bland and extremely boring.

Givenchy has great nightlife pieces that COMMAND ATTENTION. Givenchy is great for pieces that POP and SCREAM "BOSS". Everything in the entire collection is utterly Amazing.

Giorgio Armani seemed to have incorporated a lot of metallics into his Spring 2012 collection. Nothing that really stood out but I will still give him a passing grade.

Never really been a fan of Fendi…their line always seems to be missing that something special to me and their Spring line does the same.

I wonder where Emilio Pucci got her 2012 Spring collection influence?? It looked Arab inspired to me and it was simply gorgeous.

Alexander McQueen has been my fav since 97. His collection never disappoints! He was always light years ahead of fashion and even in his untimely death he still is. R.I.P.

Dolce & Gabbana mixed fruit and floral patterns together! Why? Wow, I detest his spring line.

I can safely say that Christian Dior is very wearable daily. Their whole spring lineup was one of the best on the runways. I've always been a fan of CD…Christian Dior always has a very feminine collection that SCREAMS SEXY so I expected nothing less.

The Chole spring 2012 collection is great for a day out on the yacht. The pieces were airy with lots of Linens.

BCBG spring 2012 collection is great for a woman with killer curves

Chanel is such a classic classy brand and of course their spring 2012 collection floored me. I give it a *Royal 2thumbs up*

Balenciaga Spring 2012 runway collection is a mess too:( The fabrics used didn't compliment each other & the patterns were also nonsupporting. I dont agree with mixing dark hues with pastels I'm sorry I just dont.

I'm not impressed with the YSL spring 2012 collection either…sorry I guess they are just good for tee-shirts because nothing else seemed to be for the masses.

whelp thats all folks LOL. you have been thoroughly educated on whats Hott in High-end Fashion for next season. As you can see I love watching, wearing and critiquing what's HOTT in designer collections. Click the link below to enjoy what I call a REAL fashion show! Beauty Day wit Vee

On October 30th I kicked off my "MakeMeOva" Beauty and Flawlessness Sessions where young ladies and women register to come and gain some Diva knowledge, 101 MakeUp Tips, Beauty Tips and all of my Cosmetic secrets. These sessions are very interactive and informative. I require that my attendees take notes and others actually practice the techniques I teach on the spot!! We laugh, learn and network.
My classes are broken up into 3 separate sessions and each one goes deeper into depth on the Beauty Industry. It's easy to see how passionate I am about my work because I get so excited about it. I love to treat my students to beauty freebies and makeup gifts to those who are actually bold enough to practice the techniques I'm teaching in the class. My reward in return are their smiles. I remember how thrilled I was learning new cosmetic tips when the interest sparked my attention years ago. Since then, I have a controlled obsession with it lol.

To add more punch to the class I invite some of my favorite brand builders to come in and share their products with my guests. It's important for me to include the representatives of the everyday brands I actually use in my sessions because they can give a more detailed background on the things I consider essential in daily beauty. I offer my honest reviews and lots of tips to enhance these products. In my Oct 30th session I invited Monique Diamond from Moliciouz Lipz Lip Gloss, Marquita Bianca from Leg Lovers, Mrs. Serena from Serenity Designs and Tiquerra Brown from BowTied Divaz. My guests fell in love with each of their product lines and I was please that they actually made some sales:)

Overall it was a GREAT turnout and my next session will be in December with the exact day TBD...so stay tuned:)

Yep that's Me...Yep

Guess Who is writing for the Miami Film Festival!!!

I'm so excited!!! Today I got an amazing call from an Exclusive NY Film Company to come on board as the writer of their upcoming movie for the Miami Film Festival in the Spring. For anyone in the industry that has been in movies or has even been a part of the filming process then you know how long this can actually take. The movie has to be written, then shot, then edited before the finished product is shown to the public. This process can take a year sometimes but DAMMIT I'm geeked!!! U don't have 2b a Model 2Produce Great Photos

Time and Time again, women come up to me and say, Vee I want to take some pictures but I don't know how to pose. My first response is "yes you do". Anyone can pose but the key is CONFIDENCE!

Confidence is a MUST on the set of a photoshoot. You can't hide it from the lens, the camera will pick up every amount of insecurity in you. Women are naturally sexy so you have to pull from that source when taking professional photos. Here are some key tips you want to keep in mind:

1. Facial expressions: You really don't have to over do the facial expressions. Some do, some don't. It depends on how extensive you want your photo portfolio to be. Me personally, I'm not a model so I just take pictures for fun and to hang up in my home. Be aware of the expression on your face. Have confidence and like Tyra say "Smile with your eyes". Smiling with your eyes is a sexy squint. It's almost like you are piercing someone's soul with your stare. It's a seductive look and it works every time. oh and keep in mind that you don't always have to look into the lens, you can look away from it to and capture an amazing photo.

2.Body Language is EVERYTHING! You have to be aware of all your body parts and pose from each one of them. Practice makes perfect so purchase a full length mirror and play in front of it often. Before you know it you will become fully aware of your best angles and these are the ones you use in your shoots.

3. Makeup: Yes my darlings...you will need a MUA (makeup artist) This is essential. A MUA is going to make you look as close to perfection as possible and don't be a smartass, cuz WE ALL HAVE IMPERFECTIONS Lol. Your makeup application should ENHANCE your beauty NOT completely change your face! Less is more! There are small things you can do to the face to make you look "High Fashion", consult with your MUA for tips

3. Your Fit: The outfit you chose to do your shoot in should be timeless. Again Less is more. Don't over do it and make sure your clothes are fitting and that you have a foundation on if your belly is a little sizable (if you know what I mean). If that went over your head then let me spell it out: PUT A GURTLE ON! A SPANX or something lol! Hell, sometimes I double up my spanx lol! It work every time! If your legs have scars that camouflage them with a few pair of translucent stockings. Yes I said a "few" pair. Stockings holds that jiggle in the thighs together and you may need a few pair on to create a "tight-fitted" look. If you don't want to double up your stockings then wear some fishnets or lace stockings, they will also get the job done.

4. Your hair: Your hair should be a bit over exaggerated. You may need to glue/sew in a few pieces to give yourself a "full look". I recommend you get your hair done a 1-2days before a shoot so if you don't like it you can alter it.

5. Shoes/accessories: If your backdrop calls for shoes then your heel size should be high and fairly new. Practice walking in your heels so that you don't stand with an unattractive lean. Your heels should be a solid color because you don't want them to be the focal point of your picture. Your accessories should be oversized and couture. Look through fashion magazines to get ideas and inspiration. Your accessories can make an extremely plain outfit look runway worthy!

Everything on you and about you should be cohesive, meaning everything should work together. Follow these tips and you will have EPIC photos!! Good luck to you!
