Magazine "Elle" is under Fire for this cover photo

Ok apparenty actress Gabby Sidibe's skin was lightened by Elle Magazine when retouching the photos for the October issue. Its clear the the actress skin is not naturaly this light. So the question is: Why must Magazines do this?

Are you more "accepted" if your skin is lighter?

Are you more likely to be recognized and successful if you conform to the European look of straight hair, light skin and a model thin frame?

Elle shot 4 different actresses for this October's issue and the full body shots by the other women, sends a obvious 'shot' to Ms. Gabby...

This is'nt the first time black celebrities have had their photos altered. L'Oreal came under fire in 2008 for a Beyoncé magazine ad where she looked almost like a white woman.

hmmmmmm....Loyal Royals, What do u guys think??

Well, Elle probably feels as tho we should be "happy" that they let a black woman grace the cover in the 1st place...smdh... I just think its really sad that ppl can't b accepted 4 who they are...-SDOTHOFFA
